Sixty years ago this Sunday, an incredible rescue took place by RNLI Moelfre Lifeboat in Anglesey. Braving hurricane-force winds, a makeshift crew of volunteers, including one shore helper who’d never been out on a lifeboat before, successfully rescued those onboard the ship Hindlea before it was smashed on the rocks.
