Ladder stitch, invisible stitch, whatever you call her, in my opinion is the easiest and cleanest stitch you can do to finish off a garment if you are required to hand sew a section. For me, I line a lot of my garments so this is the perfect way to close off the lining. It’s a simple stitch once you get the hang of it, just remember to go slow and be patient, you’ve got this! 😌 By far the most important step is to start by ironing your garment, if you want you can press the seams open too.
