The "theory" was never "USDT supply increases so BTC price increases." How is this even supposed to work. Tether is (or was) not buying BTC directly. The "hypothesis" is that Binance is conducting washtrading to push the price of BTC up. This was also one of the many allegations against them in lawsuits by US government agencies.

But we don't know if it will be $1,000,000 or $100,000 or $10,000 in 2030. I do think now is a good time to invest for the long-term, but that does require both the capital to put into BTC and the belief in its long-term viability.
