When you go on xbox.com to search for left 4 dead 2, DO NOT use the autocomplete and follow the link to microsoft.com, instead fill out the entire title and you will find it on xbox.com available for purchase.

Dec 21, 2024 · Unfortunately the Xbox 360 MarketPlace was closed permanently in June 2024 and the reasons, in addition to economic ones, are licensing for most of the games and DLC's. The DLC market closed much earlier for the reasons already stated.

And we also know that it's unavailable on both the Xbox One and Series system storefront (Both at the website listing for the title and on the console itself).
