May 24, 2017 · Congrats!! I agree - turn off remote access until Tesla switches the car to your account. Don't sweat the extended warranty. Pretty small risk since the major components (battery and drive unit) are covered, and there is a $200 deductible per visit with the extended warranty. My 2013 is at 96k miles, no extended warranty, and one $400 repair.
