Mar 24, 2011 · Outlook uses the Modified Date for a number of functions including archiving - importing in Outlook will not only change the Modified Date to the date of Import, it will also change all the dates on your Sent Items to the date of import. You need to do File-Export in outlook EXPRESS and export to Outlook in order to keep the correct dates.

A word of caution here, though, as Outlook Express 6 will export to an Outlook PST file that is the old format, meaning the PST file will have a maximum size of 2GB. It is a folder with several .dbx files - one for each mail folder from OE. It's about 955Mb. In Outlook I select File / Import and Export / Import Internet mail and Addresses.
