The mission of the GHana Navy is to develop and deploy maritime forces with the capability to ensure a safe, secure and clean maritime domain of Ghana in collaboration with other stakeholders in order to ensure a sustainable use of the maritime domain.
Ghana Navy - ships
The River Class Ships are the newest addition to the Ghana Navy’s Fleet, built by the Penguin Ship Yard in Singapore and commissioned into the Ghana Navy on 25 Feb 2022. They are flex fighter boats with a length of 40m, a beam of 7.6 m and a draught of 1.89 m.
