Oct 6, 2024 · There are multiple videos, articles, and conversations about the interchangeability of plates between PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro. Some say that only the bottom plates can be swapped, where others opine that the the plates are made to accommodate the Slim and Pro. But at the end of the day, I have not seen a definitive answer.
Are there some good third-party custom PS5 side plates out
Jan 15, 2022 · I find that most third-party plates that are even remotely acceptable in terms of quality (based on youtube reviews) are way too close in price to the official ones; if you're looking for the same shape plates, just get the OEM plates from Sony.

Edit: I'm one of the morons that bought black plates for the slim disc hoping they would fit the Pro. Considering the bottom plates fit, I can do a black & white half half type of job lol

With access to powered usb ports potential features that I can think of are: - Obviously different coloured plates are a given. - Hdd/ssd/nvme mount - controller charging station - plates with removable dust filters - RGB lighting - usb hub

Oct 30, 2024 · Why would they fit? Isn’t this like expecting the Pro phones to match their Pro Max cases? I don’t get it. Read the OP, maybe? They’re the exact same size. They just changed the connecting pegs to force you to buy new plates.
