Apr 6, 2009 · The barrel markings reflect 'Blue Sky - Arlington, VA.'; the serial number is 4349706. Under the rear sight, just above the serial number, it looks like it stamped "POS-TER". Do you have any information on this M1, when it was made, and who is 'Blue Sky'? Also, I read that you were looking for one from IBM.

I'm going to do what my gun smith said and let him do the royal blue, as you suggested also. His price was the same as yours. Being that you are the same distance, I might be bringing you a Dan Wesson to blue for me next year.

Feb 3, 2025 · After rust blue, color case and stock finish was put on. It's chambered for .45-70, .450 bore, .458 in the grooves and I set the sine bar for a 1:18 twist rate when I made the barrel. Barrel is tapered octagon one inch ant the tulip and 7/8ths at the muzzle and 30 inches long.

Oct 2, 2024 · It has a 20" rifle sighted, cylinder bore barrel. With the blue worn away in one small spot on top of the barrel where it rode for many miles standing in the rack of a cruiser. I've been told that by the serial number it dates to the late 1960's, but I honestly don't know for sure.

Dec 6, 2015 · Been using the Blue Bullet sin 45 & 9 for 2 years now and am very happy with them - just ordered another case of each. Load data is just like lead. With some tweaking to my Hornady bullet feeder dies they work fine in those - N.B. you would have to modify the dies to work with anything other than FMJ's.

Feb 16, 2025 · 2" barrel, no cartridge designation on left, top strap does not have any patent dates 5 digit serial number, no letters. Amazing shape for about 125 Years old and blue finish to boot. Appears unfired to me. I've one word that describes this 5 shooter well, Elegant Would be great to learn if it is officially an antique prolly not.
