
Silly question but does the power cord matter?
Mar 10, 2013 · What about using different power supply cables on different power supplies? I switched out my Antec 450 watt for a Rosewill 650 watt but just kept using the Antec's mains cable since I was too lazy to open the bag to get the Rosewill one.

Computer won't turn on till I unplug and replug from PSU
Jun 13, 2022 · Ordered a new cable and all was fine. I had recently moved my computer further away from the monitors so the cable that was causing the issue was new but I’m wonderibg if the 1.4 do cable wasn’t happy with the 1.1dp monitor. Either way, try unplugging graphics card and use on board graphics with a different cable.

PC shuts off, have to unplug and plug back in to get it back on
Nov 3, 2019 · With the system powered on, as soon as I plugged in that old cable into the new power supply, the system would shut off. So I connected the hard drives to the power supply with one of the new cables, and everything appears to be working normally. Seems very odd that a power supply peripheral cable could be causing the system to shut down.
SATA and power outside of PC case for easy backup?
Feb 18, 2013 · Inside it connects to an available power supply Molex and a SATA port. It then will provide you on the back panel SATA port and power. From there you can take it to whatever you want without opening the case. If you just want to connect it manually to a bare SATA Drive you will need regular SATA cable and a Molex to SATA Power cable.
