The California Highway Patrol had one of its more bizarre traffic stops near the close of 2024 as officers in the Central Valley pulled over a Rolls Royce with a baby monkey in a onesie as a passenger.

Ali Mused Adel Mohamed, 27, was busted in his 2022 Rolls-Royce Ghost for speeding on SR-99 as he was driving the 1-month-old primate, which was wearing a pink onesie. Mohamed was arrested and charged with DUI and possession of cannabis for sale, the California Highway Patrol said.

UPDATE: On Thursday, California Highway Patrol informed the public that the spider monkey found inside a Rolls Royce on Monday night has anew permanent home. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife took possession of the young monkey and took it to the Oakland Zoo for proper care.
