Two of the methods TGL has to offer a faster version of golf from the PGA Tour came into play in the first win for Tiger Woods’s Jupiter Links team.

Rory McIlroy and his Boston Common teammates made their TGL debuts on Monday evening, but were beaten by Jupiter Links GC led by Tiger Woods at the SoFi Center

"That was awesome. That was so cool," Rory McIlroy said to Tiger Woods as they walked off the green Monday after their TGL match was decided.

Monday night saw the marquee event in the league’s short history as Woods’ Jupiter Links Golf Club faced co-owner McIlroy’s Boston Commons Golf. Ahead of the match, Woods called out to his mother, Kultida Woods, to deliver a hilarious message.

Despite incurring a shot clock violation on Monday night, Tiger Woods and his team outlasted Rory McIlroy and his club in the TGL match inside a 1,500-seat indoor arena in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
