An allegedly impaired driver rear-ended a parked trooper on Tuesday. Louisiana State Police shared news of the crash with a reminder to stay off the roads.
On Tuesday afternoon, Louisiana State Police reported a state trooper was rear-ended by an alleged impaired driver, while stopped at a red light. The driver, who police say shouldn't have been on the road in the first place, was arrested for driving while intoxicated. The trooper involved in the accident was unharmed.
A Black man died after a beating by the police in 2019. The assault “demonstrated serious failures,” the Justice Department said, including improper supervision.
