Provincial police are warning drivers to avoid sections of Highway 11 in both directions in Orillia as they investigate a fatal multi-vehicle collision.

One person has died and multiple people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Orillia, Ont., on Friday, Ontario Provincial Police say. Orillia Fire Chief Chris Ferry said about 50 vehicles were involved.

OPP are asking the public for dashcam footage of the multi-vehicle pileup on Hwy. 11 in Orillia that killed a 49-year-old.
