Forest Hill Police gave an update on the investigation of a local rapper and his 5-year-old daughter who were fatally shot at a North Texas car wash.

Family members identified the victims as a North Texas rapper G$ Lil Ronnie and his 5-year-old daughter, who just celebrated her birthday on Sunday. Police are searching for two gunmen.

Officers performed life-saving measures but both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. A preliminary investigation found that the suspects fled the scene in a white four-door Kia after approaching the victim's vehicle,

The 5-year-old girl’s mother “wants everyone to know that she is heartbroken and she is grieving,” Pastor Rodney McIntosh said.
