Detectives are investigating the first homicide of the year in Fort Worth. A man was killed and a woman was detained.

Fort Worth police say they are investigating after an individual shot another person and led officers on a vehicle chase on Interstate 35 Saturday. Derrick Sanders Jr., 19, is charged with felony murder for the death of his uncle, 40-year-old Christopher Sanders Sr.

Officials identified the person killed in a shooting that wounded two others on Christmas Eve in Fort Worth. The victim was 17-year-old Ja’Qualin Houston, according to records from the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.
