While details about a failed J.T. Miller trade with the Rangers filter out, another team is being linked to the Vancouver Canucks centre.

Vancouver Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin says he’s open to making a trade — as long as the deal makes sense for the team.

The scuttled J.T. Miller trade between the Canucks and the New York Rangers, which was first reported by Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman on “Hockey Night in Canada,” was close enough to occurring that Vancouver considered not dressing Miller for its Saturday night home game against the Edmonton Oilers.
