Winning its biggest bowl game in more than three decades and two College Football Playoff games for the first time in program history, Notre Dame punctuated a poignant week in New Orleans with its 23-10 smothering of Kirby Smart's Georgia Bulldogs.

Notre Dame hadn’t won a major bowl game in some time. In fact, the current players were little more than twinkles in their parents’ eyes. That all changed with a 23-10 victory over Georgia in the Sugar Bowl.
