The foreman of the jury that convicted former Illinois House Speaker Mike Madigan on 10 counts says the case involved “government overreach” and that the evidence wasn’t as solid as it seemed.

A McLean County jury returned guilty verdicts Friday, convicting a man from Blue Island on three weapon charges.

Two-and-a-half years after a Decatur man’s murder, one of the people accused of the crime has pleaded guilty in that case.
