Russian forces have captured hundreds of square miles of eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk region over the past year as part of their advance on the city of Pokrovsk.

The General Staff of Ukraine's military made no mention of the village in a late evening report. It reported "intensive" Russian activity in the Pokrovsk sector, with Ukrainian forces repelling 39 attacks by Moscow's forces and nine clashes continuing.

The Ukraine conflict is the first major drone war in military history. Despite tactical losses on several parts along the line of contact, the Ukrainian military has continued to maintain strategic pressure on Russia by targeting and attacking major targets behind enemy lines.
