A 2.4-litre turbo-diesel version of the GWM Tank 500 off-road four-wheel-drive launched overseas may skip Australia in favour of a new, more powerful 3.0-litre engine that is two years away.

As such, it features the same 3.0-liter V6 as the regular Tank 700 that works alongside a small electric motor. The V6 alone is good for 360 hp while the e-motor lifts power to a combined 517 hp.
