The Miami Heat are on a "short list" of preferred teams for Sacramento Kings star De'Aaron Fox in the event he's traded, according to Yahoo Sports'

The Heat were even favored at one point to acquire Fox with one of the reasons being the connection between himself and Fox.

The Miami Heat have had a solid season, but they could become championship contenders by making a trade with the Sacramento Kings for their star guard.

Jimmy Butler has declined trades to the Sacramento Kings and Memphis Grizzlies, leading to complicated negotiations with the Miami Heat. Tensions have risen due to multiple suspensions, but a possible trade to the Phoenix Suns could be a solution,

Assuming Miami considers Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro untouchable in Fox talks (as they should, especially if Jimmy Butler is soon leaving), the Heat’s package for Fox — in addition to a 2028 first-rounder — would be the following four players: Terry Rozier, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Nikola Jović, and Kel'el Ware.

That’s because the Spurs — reportedly Fox’s preferred trade destination — currently have nine tradeable first-round picks that they can include in a deal to the Heat’s one tradeable first-round selection. San Antonio also has young talent such as Keldon Johnson, Devin Vassell and others who it can add to any trade package for Fox.
