DiVincenzo leads the Timberwolves in net rating since Dec. 19, with Minnesota outscoring opponents by seven points per 100 possessions when he’s in the lineup. He sports the team’s best offensive rating (117.3 points per 100 possessions) in that time, while also maintaining strong team numbers on the other end.
DiVincenzo, a former 'Nova Knick, was traded from New York to the Timberwolves just before the start of training camp, then was sidelined for a month with a significant toe injury.
The team said Thursday that Julius Randle has been cleared for 5-on-5 basketball practice activities, while Donte DiVincenzo can now perform non-contact basketball activities. DiVincenzo has been out since Jan. 15 with a toe injury, while Randle strained his groin on Jan. 30.
