The body of a fallen U.S. Border Patrol agent has been moved to a Vermont funeral home three days after he was killed during a traffic stop near the Canadian border

The FBI has revealed little information about Monday’s fatal shooting of Agent David “Chris” Maland during a traffic stop. A German national who was in the U.S. on a current visa was also killed in the exchange of gunfire,

U.S. Border Patrol agent David "Chris" Maland was killed on duty last week in Coventry on Interstate 91 southbound during a traffic stop.

U.S. Customs and Border Patrol confirmed Tuesday afternoon that the slain agent was David C. Maland. The FBI, meanwhile, said the other person killed was a German national on a current visa.

This latest round of funding will allow researchers to continue to produce the technology that is crucial to so many elements of modern technology, including cars, smartphones and other advanced manufacturing.
