An 8-year-old boy in central Florida died after he was attacked by two dogs near the entrance of a subdivision.

Channel 9 is contacting county leaders around Central Florida to gather more details on shelters opening this week. Two cold-weather shelters will open on Thursday and Friday evenings, providing refuge for people experiencing homelessness. Doors will open at 6 p.m. to offer overnight shelter Thursday and Friday.
