Interstate 80 in Nebraska has reopened after being closed for more than 14 hours as a blizzard moved through the Midwest.

Nebraskans were split Monday on a bill that would require all businesses in the state use E-Verify, and prohibit them from knowingly hiring an undocumented worker.

Compensation for Nebraska’s state senators could be removed from the state constitution, making it easier to change the annual $12,000 salary.

With the changes, the emergency management agency is trying to adjust to the possibility of getting them less often.
