Tennessee saw its 2026 recruiting class take a hit on Monday when a 4-star offensive lineman reportedly decommitted from the Volunteers.

Brandon Anderson, a four-star offensive lineman, had been committed to Tennessee since Oct. 20, the morning after the Vols beat Alabama.

It is not all bad news for Tennessee as head coach Josh Heupel and his staff hosted a number of top recruits over the weekend. Four-star wide receiver Joel Wyatt, also from the 2026 recruiting class, was among the top players who were in Knoxville, Tenn.

Tennessee has offered many recruits as of late including Jackson Vaughn who has caught the attention of many programs. Some of these programs include Kentucky, USC, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, and many more. He is a 6-foot-3 220-pound frame from Bergen Catholic High School in New Jersey.

Tennessee and Florida started off the annual event hosted by the Savannah Ghost Pirates. The reigning national champion Gators jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first period, but the Volunteers evened the score, 2-2 before the first intermission.

Anderson is the nation’s No. 277 overall prospect in the 2026 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the No. 23 IOL in the class and the No. 34 recruit from the state of Georgia.
