Charlie Coyle is only wearing a letter on his jersey for as long as Charlie McAvoy is out. But the Bruins veteran scored two times within six minutes in the third period to lead Boston to a victory in what would have been a back-breaking loss into a victory.
Coyle will start the game on the third line on the wing with Matt Poitras, who returns at center and Trent Frederic. Vinni Lettieri will play his first game in Boston this season in Coyle’s regular spot with Elias Lindholm and Brad Marchand. Oliver Wahlstrom will sit out with Coyle available.
The Bruins called up Matt Poitras from Providence on Tuesday, but the team also placed Charlie McAvoy on injured reserve.

Coyle didn't have a goal in 10 outings entering Monday's matchup. He had only two assists and nine shots on net during that span. Thanks to Monday's offensive outburst, Coyle has 12 tallies and 18 points through 48 appearances this season.
