Taylor Hall seems to be fitting in nicely with his new team, the Carolina Hurricanes. He has now played two games after being traded by the Chicago Blackhawks and just recorded his first point in his second game that came against the New York Rangers.
Hall will miss his first game against his former team following last Friday's blockbuster trade that sent him to the Hurricanes. The winger has one helper over two games with Carolina so far. The Hurricanes will be forced to play a man short, as Sebastian Aho (illness) is also out while Jack Roslovic (illness) will return.
Getting a 3rd round pick from the Hurricanes gives the Blackhawks nine total selections in the upcoming draft.
Mikko Rantanen trying to fit in with Carolina Hurricanes
The Carolina Hurricanes have reportedly acquired winger Taylor Hall from the Chicago Blackhawks. We will see how this is all going to look soon...but the Hurricanes are trading for Taylor Hall — Elliotte Friedman (@FriedgeHNIC) January 25,
For one, Brind’Amour is pairing his two best players by putting them on a line together. Aho has led the Hurricanes in scoring in six of the last seven seasons, and Rantanen was a superstar in Colorado, logging more minutes than any forward in the league since the start of the 2021-22 season.
When the Chicago Blackhawks last played the Carolina Hurricanes, Taylor Hall suited up for them. He will be on the other bench tonight after being traded to Carolina last Friday.
The Finnish winger, obtained in mega trade with the Colorado Avalanche, earned his first goal as a Hurricane, while fellow newcomer Taylor Hall was a late scratch with an illness.
Mikko Rantanen scored his first goal with Carolina, helping the Hurricanes beat the Chicago Blackhawks 3-2 on Thursday night. Seth Jarvis and Jaccob Slavin also scored for the Hurricanes, who won for the sixth time in seven games.
