As Los Angeles was set to enter the orange tier, a salsa dancing scene emerged on Venice Beach. In these late pandemic days, it's a sign of renewal.

Dance Anatomy was invited to perform at the orange bowl halftime show with country music artist Dierks Bently. Morgan Bronk, Cara Malark, Delaney Shellnutt, Mariella and Annabelle Hogg.

The one-hour, week-long dance workshops began Sept. 30 and continue through Friday, Oct.18, giving about 2,500 children exposure to the arts that they might not otherwise have.

Danielle Silver of Dove Canyon, a junior studying at Orange County School of the Arts, is a dance semifinalist in the specialty of commercial dance for Artist of the Year in 2021.
