(CBS/AP) NEW YORK - Investigators carried rubble from a basement excavation site in lower Manhattan on Friday while searching for clues in the 1979 disappearance of a 6-year-old boy.

Mayor Steve Skadron, who supported the double-basement ban, stopped by the site on Tuesday. He said he stands by the policy that could make the 201 E. Hyman excavation the last of its kind.

Just how long the excavation will take for a project at 201 E. Hyman Ave., located at the corner of Aspen Street and next door to the Limelight Lodge, is unclear.
