Biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who will declare his candidacy for governor of Ohio on Monday, wants to reshape public schools, cut regulations and slash spending.

Vivek Ramaswamy, a wealthy biotech entrepreneur who was tapped to join the government-efficiency effort led by billionaire Elon Musk, is slated to announce later Monday that he is running for Ohio governor.

Ramaswamy will face Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost and Morgan County's Heather Hill in the Republican primary for governor. Former Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton is the sole Democrat in the race so far.
