DAVOS, Switzerland — Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said on Wednesday that tech billionaires want to use social media “to overthrow democracy” — adding he’ll push EU leaders to take action.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez on Wednesday proposed ending anonymity for social media users and forcing tech tycoons to provide accountability if their platforms "poison society".

Pedro Sanchez said the EU should put an end to anonymity of users in social-media platforms and hold their CEOs personally accountable if they fail to comply with regulations.
