Ricky Starks has reportedly asked to be released from All Elite Wrestling, but that request has not been granted by CEO Tony Khan.

In today's WWE and AEW rumors, Ricky Starks asked for his release, Alexa Bliss' return was pushed back, and two stars at the WWE PC.

Not terribly surprising considering what else we know about the situation between Starks and the company he’s currently signed to, but likely confirmation we’ll have to wait several months before he can sign elsewhere.

Ricky Starks is reportedly on the outs with AEW, but the company won’t release him. Starks has not appeared on AEW programming since March 2024, and he has confirmed that he has not been injured. AEW reportedly picked up an option year on his contract,

As of late, Starks hasn't wrestled on AEW television since the March 30th, 2024 episode of Collision. Instead, he has been making appearances for independent promotions like Game Changer Wrestling, Glory Pro, and House of Glory.
