Minecraft on Xbox is almost as good as the PC version. It’s still a great way to express yourself, but the lack of some of the PC features like mods and Creative Mode is disappointing.

Minecraft creator Markus Persson revealed today on Twitter that Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, which launched yesterday on Xbox Live, became profitable in just one hour.

Unfortunately, even if you have a Minecraft.net account you still have to purchase the Xbox 360 version. And as of right now, it will only be released for Xbox 360.

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition was developed by 4J Studios for Xbox Live Arcade. Minecraft was first released in alpha form in May 2009, with a beta release hitting the following year.
