The Toyota Camry was the best-selling passenger car in the US for several years, and it only lost its crown to another product of the Japanese brand, the RAV4.
The survey by Britannia Rescue found that 98 percent of drivers do not fully understand the 16 most common dashboard warning lights. The most confused symbol was the catalytic converter warning light.
The study asked 2,000 motorists to identify a number of dashboard warning symbols. It found fewer than 40% of drivers felt "quite confident" in their ability to tell what warning lights meant.
These symbols, often called "idiot lights" (think warning signs for dummies) are aimed at being easy to understand. But for many drivers, young and old alike, it's not that easy.
As you may know, a Toyota Camry is usually built to last for decades with the least amount of maintenance. But that doesn’t apply to different lightbulbs in the dashboard for example.
