Tucsonans are charged for the recycling program whether wanted or not. Exactly how much is not stated in our water bills. Small households putting out their can once a month are not charged any less.
This letter is prompted by the last paragraph of the letter of Suzanne Maly in June 21st edition. She brings up the practice of cleaning plastic items before recycling.
