The bill would require vehicles with out-of-state registration to meet Wisconsin's definition of an ATV/UTV vehicle to operate on state trails and routes.

Out of 23 UTV/ATV fatalities this year, only five people were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.

As a sign of appreciation, as well as a celebration of this milestone, Polaris is offering a total of $40,000 to ATV, snowmobile and off-road riding clubs and associations across the U.S.

In 2024, 13,483 people in Wisconsin earned a ATV/UTV safety certificate, including 10,940 through an online course and 2,543 through an in-person course, according to DNR data.
