Olympic icon Peggy Fleming was visiting a friend in California ... a friend told her about a memorial skating show, Legacy on Ice, that was being planned at Capital One Arena in Washington.

As a child, she wanted to be a famous ice skater. She succeeded splendidly ... so Hamill could be trained by Fassi, who had coached Peggy Fleming to an Olympic victory in 1968.
