Meta has apologised after an Indian chief minister's social media post was mistranslated on some of its platforms, falsely suggesting he had died, according to Press Trust of India (PTI) news agency.
Tech giant Meta has apologized and said it has fixed an auto-translation issue that led one of its social media platforms to mistakenly announce the death of Indian politician Siddaramaiah.
Siddaramaiah would be CM for 2.5 years, followed by Shivakumar. If the timeline is followed, Shivakumar is expected to take over in October 2025.
