Castlevania was more than just another soulless action game; it gave players an identifiable main character, an original and unique plot, and an accessible, if not challenging, gameplay experience.

It’s not a bad game, and its main theme is still awesome to listen to, but for fans expecting a pocket-sized version of Jason’s NES adventure, they’d have to wait a little bit longer.
