Karma Automotive LLC claims in its lawsuit Lordstown Motors “brazenly stole” secrets about Karma’s infotainment system and plundered a specialized team of Karma employees who were designing it.
It was allowed to move forward July 27, when bankruptcy court Judge Mary F. Walrath lifted a stay automatically imposed on Karma’s case when Lordstown Motors filed for Chapter 11 protection June 27.
In June, electric truck company Lordstown filed for bankruptcy protection and put itself up for sale after failing to resolve a dispute over a promised investment from Taiwan's Foxconn.
