The beloved animated tale of a boy and a flying beast "How to Train Your Dragon" returns as a live-action movie with its digital release this week.

As it stands, How to Train Your Dragon has a 98% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. That’s up from the 77% critic score for the remake and even the 91% audience score from the original movie.

The original “How to Train Your Dragon,” loosely adapted from the 2003 children’s book by Cressida Cowell, was released in 2010 and went on to gross a massive $495 million worldwide.

Ultimately, the "How to Train Your Dragon" live-action remake is fine. It brings some of the charm of the original films, especially in its stunning visuals of Berk and the dragons.

And while you’re at it, don’t ruin anyone’s childhood. On all counts, the new “How to Train Your Dragon” (★★★½ out of four; rated PG; in theaters now) manages to be a rousing success.
