Hogestyn joined “Days of Our Lives” in 1986. He appeared on the hit soap opera for 38 years and filmed more than 4,200 episodes.

Hogestyn’s final “Days of Our Lives” appearance aired in September 2024, weeks before his death. He portrayed John from 1986-2009 and again from 2011-2024.
