On Saturday, June 8, at 8:02 a.m. HFD responded to an injured hiker on the Hanauma Bay Ridge Trail in Hawaii Kai. Officials arrived on scene at 8:12 a.m. where they searched for the hiker on foot.

Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve will close for two weeks starting Monday, Sept. 8, through Tuesday, Sept. 23, to allow for a parking lot repaving project.
