Garnica, who also owns Hacienda el Mirador in Peoria, will pay monthly rent of $1,300 to the city to use the building for her new restaurant. She will have to start paying the city rent in April.
El Mirador has been here, just east of Chapultepec Park, since 1904, and still attracts a loyal all-day crowd for its terrific food and attentive, formal service.
