Even if you’re familiar with the basic difference between raster and vector images, it might not be immediately obvious that you can create simple images using nothing more than a text editor.

Vector graphics are also smaller files than raster graphics. However, not all graphics can be displayed in vectors, which is particularly difficult with complex images and photos.

A vector file is an image that can be made infinitely large without losing quality, and usually comes as an .AI, .EPS, .PDF, or .SVG file.
