There's no disputing how big a fight between David Benavidez and Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez could be if it ever happened. Unfortunately for boxing fans, a potential fight between Benavidez and Canelo may have already come to pass.

“He pays the guys a flat fee, they had offered me 5 million dollars, I said cool. Sampson Lewkowicz called us before the [Jaime] Munguia fight and said would you be willing to fight a flat fee of 5 million dollars, no pay-per-view. I said yes.” Benavidez then stated how he believes the offer may have been a ploy.

Diego Pacheco (23-0, 18 KOs) shined in Las Vegas as he outpointed Steven Nelson (21-1, 16 KOs). The LA native won by unanimous decision with the judge’s scorecards reading 117-111 x3.
