A fire in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn turned deadly overnight, and the FDNY says parked cars were blocking two of the closest hydrants.

A fire in a Bay Ridge, Brooklyn apartment building resulted in one death and two injuries. Firefighters battled the third-floor blaze early Sunday. The cause is under investigation.

The blaze erupted in the second-floor apartment above a candy store on Fourth Ave. near 92nd St. in Bay Ridge just after 7 a.m., the FDNY said.
