They’ve pulled the new “thankful” emoji. Over Mother’s Day weekend, Facebook users began seeing a flower-shaped “reaction emoji,” signifying thankfulness.

It wouldn’t be the first time Facebook followed Slack’s footsteps in terms of emoji-related features: its Reactions feature came months after Slack introduced its own version.

On World Emoji Day in July, Apple previewed new options for bald and redheaded emoji characters, as well a lobster, cupcake, and superheroes. These emoji will also roll out to iOS 12.1.

The plan was to give emoji reactions such as “love” and “angry” five times the weight of a traditional “like” in Facebook’s secret formula, according to an internal company document.

The United States came in eighth. Though, if the prevalence of angry emoji used during Sean Spicer’s press briefings is any indication, that ranking might be changing soon enough.
